I'm Li Long, founder of Houkongfan Network Technology — a deliberately one-person AI implementation practice based in Jiangyin, in the Yangtze River Delta, surrounded by the factories and trading companies this site writes about.

Before AI, I spent 16 years building and running cross-border e-commerce businesses. Since 2022 I have been deploying AI systems inside small export and manufacturing companies: inquiry handling, multilingual product knowledge bases, supplier discovery, content operations, and the unglamorous plumbing that keeps those systems alive.

Being in China matters to this work. I get to see, from the inside, how a 20-person trading company or a workshop with three CNC machines actually adopts AI — which is nothing like how it looks from a conference stage in either country.

Why this site exists

Nearly everything published about "AI for business" is written by people selling software. I implement first and write second, and I publish the failures with the same detail as the wins. Companies are anonymized; numbers are real.
